a chair to read a million books

I know I haven't really posted very many nursery pictures, but they are soon to come. The room is practically done; I just haven't taken out time to take pictures! Whoops. I do have to show you this before after of our glider. Patti stumbled upon this deal steal at an antique store in Atlanta for $25. I'm sorry, what?! Yes, $25. After a good sanding, a long paint job, and new cushions this little glider should do the trick! Thank you Aaron and Patti!

I swear, there is a book for anything and everything. Just look at this selection. I don't know whether to be embarrassed or laugh unashamed. I have to say I didn't purchase any of these books. They were either gifts or our doula, Holly, lent them to me from her library. I can't imagine a book fully preparing you for birth or motherhood, especially since every birth and child is different, but in some weird way I feel semi prepared. I can say, The Yummy Mummy Manifesto was entertaining and had great info, and The Baby Book is dictionary of anything and everything (clearly, look at how huge that book is!). Just in case someone out there needs to know something about these just ask me! Happy Wednesday!

  1. Please don't do Baby Wise. As a former child care worker I will say that most of the babies I saw who had the Baby Wise system used on them were slower to hit milestones. Babies need to feed on demand and sleep on their schedule to develop properly.
